On a plus note, my fantastic coach and BFF Charlotte introduced me to a load of top archers including Andrea Gales, Naomi Folkard, Bryony Pitman, Patrick Huston and Duncan Busby. Great end to a slightly disappointing day.
Well, it wasn't a total disaster but it could have gone better. I felt really calm and confident going in but my blooming arrow rest broke after the first end. I couldn't believe it! We managed to get another one on but I still had to make up an end shooting on my own. I was so nervous and I've never shot 3 arrows so fast. After that, it took me a few ends to get my sight back in the right place and I really tried to make my score up but it was too late really. 526 was good enough for 11th place and while I am pleased with the placing, I was gutted as I had put so much work into it and really felt like I had a chance. But it was obviously not meant to be for me this year. I can take a lot of positive things out of it though and I never felt like giving in. I was pleased to finish strong with a few three 10 ends as well. I probably learnt more from this happening than if I had won! On a plus note, my fantastic coach and BFF Charlotte introduced me to a load of top archers including Andrea Gales, Naomi Folkard, Bryony Pitman, Patrick Huston and Duncan Busby.
