Had an absolutely awesome week at Youth Festival! Shot pretty bad in qualifying, placing 15th in individual, 1st in mixed teams with Jacob Boden and 8th in women team with Amy and Rhian. In individual won my first match 7-3, then just lost out to a tense match with Thea Rodgers! Mixed teams we had a bye and then just lost out in a shoot off. In the women teams however we all shot awesome and ended up winning GOLD 5-1!!!! I'm so buzzing!! I've got stronger as the weeks gone on and to shoot like I did with the audience behind me was just awesome!! Well done to everyone who shot, everyone did amazing, especially us northerners😉thank you to everyone for the support and the photos - they're awesome!!☺️🎯

Shot pretty decent in qualifying even though I was really ill 10 minutes before shooting - I threw up outside the tent! But I ended up qualifying fourth which was ok but about 60 points down on what I'd been shooting in practice. I shot my quarter final match 6-0, and then later went on to win bronze 6-0 as well. On the Sunday it was really windy AND I was ill again so didn't shoot as well as I'd like but in the semis later on me and Lauren shot a really close head to head and ended up taking it to a double shoot off!! - Our two nines were both the same distance away from the X, how mad is that? On the second shoot-off, I lost with an 8 but I shot well, then went onto win bronze in yet another shoot off against Jodie!! Everyone shot awesome this weekend, proper good laugh with everyone and can't wait for Youth Fest next week!
I love doing the Junior Masters as it's a great chance to get lots of head-to-head experience in a competition atmosphere and it really prepares you for bigger tournaments. There was a really nice crowd of people this year and on the Sunday the matches were all very exciting for the archers and spectators alike. I'd really recommend it to anyone who is fortunate enough to get their JMB badge and invitation.
