Good weekend at key event 3! After recently finishing exams, and after a good session with Amy two days before the weekend, I can finally say shooting feels better than ever! The wind was horrendous, but I still managed to have a PB for a 3 dozen round and got 10 points off my PB in qualification so I was very pleased. In the individual head to heads I shot really strong in that 'hurricane', however the wind picked up last set and they were not good shots 😅 however in women team I had a proper laugh with Jodie and Lauryn where we took home the silver medal where we shot awesome! And then after ranking second in mixed team me and Ryan took home the bronze medal ☺️ all together though it's been nice to have my shot under control and to be able to shoot strong consistent shots all weekend, so as usual, I'm buzzing 😌been a really good weekend where I've tried some new things and learned a lot, and I can't wait for the rest of my comps (where I don't have to stress about exams lol). Would like to thank my parents for spotting me and supporting me throughout shooting, Amy for the wonderful pep talk we had Thursday and also to Merlin Archery for all the support!

Good weekend at Daventry! Shot a little below average in the ranking round, but I'm pretty pleased with how my shots felt and how I managed my process so I guess that was okay. Biggest highlight of the weekend was shooting in my first ever field head to head in the senior women category, where I managed to take GOLD against one of GB's top British field archers who is the third-ranked senior! I was quite nervous but I shot so strong, getting solid scores at each distance, then managing to take the gold final with a 6 as my last arrow 😌was so buzzing to have won, especially when I was quite disappointed with my score from the weekend, so it was the biggest highlight ☺️ want to thank dad for being there and spotting for me, and for unscrewing the cap on my water bottle when I needed it (😂) but also a big thanks to Merlin Archery and backing the best for their support!
#supportingdad #merlinarcherydurham #backingthebest As usual, Bucks and Bounty was 'interesting'. After getting tonsillitis like two days before shooting, I thought I shot okay in tough conditions. Saturday my qualification score was pretty decent to say I wasn't going to shoot at all, and also having an equipment failure in like the third end didn't help, but I came back strong and put in some good ends. My head to head went okay against Emily in the 1/8s. My shots were really solid, however I got knocked out, but my shots were strong and the best ones I'd shot all day, so I was pleased. Sunday however was tough due to strong winds, but I shot very strong and my physical and mental attitudes were on point all the way through the morning session, which I was very happy with. I also got in some very important lip syncing practise! Would just like to thank my lovely sponsors Merlin Archery for their support, and also would just like to thank Sport England for the Backing the Best funding I have been given to help fund my archery stuff 😌 it's been a good weekend and a good laugh with everyone, glad to be home though now 😌
