Thankfully, the swelling went down and I was able to identify what I was doing wrong on the draw. This weekend I shot a full (junior) Western which is not my target distance but at least I got eight dozen arrows in with no reaction from my shoulder and I still felt strong. Oh and I scored 800, but that was almost irrelevant (still pleased though ha ha).
Then on the Sunday I shot my first ever 60m comp at the brilliant Welbeck shoot. I was chuffed to score 514 which is only 36 points off selection score standard. I was so pleased to shoot so many competitive arrows. I didn't shoot the second 720 as I was starting to ache and didn't want to push it but 14 dozen in two days was not too bad at all and I'm fired up for more 60 metre shoots now!
