Barnsley 6th Form College have published a lovely article about me and my trip to Slovenia on their website. I can't thank them enough as they have been so supportive to me over the last year.

Finally got my spare bow sorted! Want to thank Amy Lee for the GORGEOUS riser, and then a huge shout out to Alan at Merlin for taking the time to sort the kit out and set it up! Also a big thanks to Mum and dad for taking me to get it and then buy it ☺️ It's a gorgeous bow and I'm very happy with it! Thanks to Merlin Archery for their support! They really are a great bunch up in Durham - can't recommend them enough! #merlinarcherydurham I'm so pleased to announce that I have been picked to go to Slovenia to represent GB at the European Field Champs!!! I'm so excited to go and I've been dying to announce it, also can't wait to go with my club mates Amy and Chelle!
Would just like to thank my amazing sponsors at Merlin Archery, Backing the Best, the Hartfield-Kiddy Trust, Dearne Valley Archery Club as well as everyone else for all the support! #merlinarchery #backingthebest #hartfieldkiddytrust #teamdvac #europeanfieldchamps Had a flipping brilliant second day at Junior Nationals! Shot my last ever Bristol 2 and came away with another PB by 80 points and a county record, as well as taking 3rd!!! Was such a close day with Sophie who shot awesome also, very tense! This weekends been an actually amazing and I'm so pleased with my shots and process overall, and to come 3rd too is such a big bonus! Would just like to thank Kevin for the great talk earlier this week, it's really made me think twice about shooting and I'm proper buzzing to get shooting again, so thank you! Also big thanks to the wonderful Sophie for being there for me all weekend and checking the scores, as well as giving me my medal! ☺️ a final big thanks to my lovely sponsors at Merlin Archery and Backing the Best for their constant support! A lovely weekend with awesome people, can't wait to see you all again!
#merlinarchery #backingthebest Good weekend at key event 3! After recently finishing exams, and after a good session with Amy two days before the weekend, I can finally say shooting feels better than ever! The wind was horrendous, but I still managed to have a PB for a 3 dozen round and got 10 points off my PB in qualification so I was very pleased. In the individual head to heads I shot really strong in that 'hurricane', however the wind picked up last set and they were not good shots 😅 however in women team I had a proper laugh with Jodie and Lauryn where we took home the silver medal where we shot awesome! And then after ranking second in mixed team me and Ryan took home the bronze medal ☺️ all together though it's been nice to have my shot under control and to be able to shoot strong consistent shots all weekend, so as usual, I'm buzzing 😌been a really good weekend where I've tried some new things and learned a lot, and I can't wait for the rest of my comps (where I don't have to stress about exams lol). Would like to thank my parents for spotting me and supporting me throughout shooting, Amy for the wonderful pep talk we had Thursday and also to Merlin Archery for all the support!
Good weekend at Daventry! Shot a little below average in the ranking round, but I'm pretty pleased with how my shots felt and how I managed my process so I guess that was okay. Biggest highlight of the weekend was shooting in my first ever field head to head in the senior women category, where I managed to take GOLD against one of GB's top British field archers who is the third-ranked senior! I was quite nervous but I shot so strong, getting solid scores at each distance, then managing to take the gold final with a 6 as my last arrow 😌was so buzzing to have won, especially when I was quite disappointed with my score from the weekend, so it was the biggest highlight ☺️ want to thank dad for being there and spotting for me, and for unscrewing the cap on my water bottle when I needed it (😂) but also a big thanks to Merlin Archery and backing the best for their support!
#supportingdad #merlinarcherydurham #backingthebest As usual, Bucks and Bounty was 'interesting'. After getting tonsillitis like two days before shooting, I thought I shot okay in tough conditions. Saturday my qualification score was pretty decent to say I wasn't going to shoot at all, and also having an equipment failure in like the third end didn't help, but I came back strong and put in some good ends. My head to head went okay against Emily in the 1/8s. My shots were really solid, however I got knocked out, but my shots were strong and the best ones I'd shot all day, so I was pleased. Sunday however was tough due to strong winds, but I shot very strong and my physical and mental attitudes were on point all the way through the morning session, which I was very happy with. I also got in some very important lip syncing practise! Would just like to thank my lovely sponsors Merlin Archery for their support, and also would just like to thank Sport England for the Backing the Best funding I have been given to help fund my archery stuff 😌 it's been a good weekend and a good laugh with everyone, glad to be home though now 😌
#merlinarcherydurham #sportengland #backingthebest Good first selection shoot! Shot really strong in qualification getting a PB at 70 and qualifying 4th in tier 1, which I was chuffed with, then went onto shoot strong in my head to head, but it was a close match and sadly I got knocked out in a one arrow shoot off. Then shot strong in my mixed team match with Ryan, winning the quarters but losing the semis in a shoot off, and in the end came 4th. Then in teams me, Jodie and Eva shot really strong and ended up winning gold in tough winds and shooting strong shots, so I can't complain ☺️ overall been a good weekend and I've shot pretty strong at my first comp at 70, can't wait for the next one ☺️ thanks to my lovely sponsors at Merlin for supporting me and thanks to Kath for the photos!
#MerlinArcheryDurham Great weekend at Kendal! Started a bit slow Saturday but finished strong both days and managed to get 3 PB's and 3 county records ☺️ nice to be back shooting properly and strong, can't wait for my target shoots now, also a big thanks to Merlin Archery for sponsoring and supporting me! ☺️
#merlinarcherydurham I was interviewed by Toby Foster at BBC Radio Sheffield on the 17th of March and talked about my aspirations and what spurred me on to take up archery. It was a fab day and loved being on the radio! The link below might now work as it runs out after 30 days but try it anyway. Thank you BBC Radio Sheffield for inviting me on and making me feel really special. www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p04tl9zb |
